4. Lawful Basis
We process personal information where it is necessary to respond to a request you have made before entering into a contract, to perform a contract we have agreed with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or for our legitimate business interests, such as responding to enquiries, keeping accurate records and protecting our business. We do not rely on consent as the sole basis for handling ordinary quotation or contact enquiries.

Personal information may be shared with Harvey Jordan, the owner of Jordans Carpentry; trusted subcontractors, where genuinely necessary to assess or deliver a project; providers who support our website or online forms; providers who support our email and communications; accountants, insurers or other professional advisers, where necessary; and public authorities, where required by law. We do not sell personal information, and it is not routinely shared with subcontractors unless required for a specific project.
6. How Long Information Is Kept
Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, quotation, project, legal, insurance, tax and record-keeping purposes for which it was collected. Where an enquiry does not proceed or becomes inactive, the information may be deleted once it is no longer needed.
7. File Uploads
If you upload drawings, photographs or documents through our forms, please only upload project information you are authorised to share, and avoid uploading any sensitive personal information that is not necessary for us to assess your enquiry.
